Persiana Barcelona is a product that arises from the streets of the city that takes his name. In 2010 the architects Pau Sarquella and Diana Usón obtain the first prize of the Racons Públics contest with an offer that was improving the popular blind of rope. The piece, with a subtle intervention both in the mud and in his finished ones, transforms in a sustainable, innovative and modern object that gives response to diverse problematic urban as the protection to the water, the visual protection or the light opaqueness.

The form of his muds allows that they should be superposed, as if about a cover of tiles it was treating itself and to avoid the step of the water; in addition, the widespread position of these allows to visualize the exterior and the vertical position preserves the visual intimacy; and finally, this uprightness also avoids the penetration of the exterior light, proceeding from the solar radiation or from the public system of illumination. To aesthetic level, the Persiana Barcelona appears in a palette of colors changed and attractive, inspired in the most popular tones of the city, as the green one of the Milà House Milà, the beige of the Vicens House or the quoit of the Planells House, between others.
