Emilio Pérez Piñero is internationally known for his contributions in the design of light structures. He contributed in this field of Architecture with his inventive capacity. Having achieved great advances in deployable structures, it is considered by great international specialists in transformable structures as an advance in its time in this field and a true precursor to the folding of reticular structures.
During his short professional career, which lasted only ten years, he won important international awards that enshrined him as a true world specialist in this type of mobile structures. Its Transportable Exhibition Pavilion (Madrid 1964) was, worldwide, the first building of importance resolved in its entirety with a folding reticular structure that, based on modules, covered an area of more than 8,000 m².
