This project arises from Portos’s intention of Galicia of promoting the routes of maritime traffic in them laugh Galicians.
Placed in Vilanova de Arousa’s urban edge, the building of the Maritime Station consists of a small building destined principally to give service to the users of the above mentioned routes.
The offer raises the configuration of a serene space placed opposite to the sea and orientated to the west one. One treats itself about a completely glazed, low surrounding space about concrete dark and protected from the noise and about the hustle for a box of wood in which all the services remain quiet.
THE FIRST BOX is a box of black concrete. It is the one that defines the total volume. It is a box opened by his 2 long sides: this one and west. It is a platform high and covered opposite to the sea.
THE SECOND BOX is a box of crystal. It is the one that lodges the interior activity: sale of tickets, cafeteria, restaurant, space of sale, … Supported on the closing of wood and covered by the cover of concrete, is opened the sea, the entry of the ships, the sights, the west one, …
THE THIRD BOX is a box of strips of “acetylene wood” of pine radiata. She is the one that gathers all the services: bathrooms, facilities, store, kitchen, bar… It is the wall on the one that rests the activity.
From the technological point of view, the exceptional properties of permanence of the “acetylene wood”, joined the controls of constructive design realized and to the type of ended applied, it has allowed to obtain a certificate of guarantee of end of 5 years. It is a question of the first building constructed in Spain with this product and that it obtains this type of guarantee.
