City and drawing · Summer workshop 2013

The summer workshop City and drawing proposes a reflection brings over from the possibilities of the drawing to hand lifted as instrument of urban analysis and of communication of ideas.

Throughout three days (June 25, 26 and 27) the architects Antonio Amado Lorenzo, Santiago de Molina Rodríguez, Borja Lopez Cotelo and the illustrator David Pintor will offer five presentations centred on the labor of architects and artists who resorted to the image as way of interpretation of different urban realities. Simultaneously there will be carried out some other practical meetings in which the pupils of the workshop will develop an exercise in the Old City of La Coruña.

Together with the academic activities others less formal will carry out, after the ending of every day of work, that they will contribute to the exchange of ideas between organizers, referees and pupils: projection of videoes related to the topic of the workshop and colloquia, as well as complementary visits to the area of study to enter in touch with his social reality.

Once concluded the course, the results will be gathered in a digital publication of free unload that will make the conclusions accessible to the public and will serve as base to future analogous experiences in other areas of the city.

10:30h-12:30h David Pintor’s presentation. Ilustración y ciudad: ciudades de papel.

12:30h-14:00h Visit to the area of study and capture of notes on the area.

Session 2. In the evening of Wednesday, the 25th of June, 2014

16:00h-18.00h Borja López Cotelo’s presentation. Ciudad y secuencia (I): La ciudad en el cómic: Manuele Fior y Guy Delisle.

18:00h-20:00h Practical session.

Session 3. In the morning of Thursday, the 26th of June, 2014

10:00h-12:00h Antonio Amado’s presentation. La ciudad en la fotografía: París.

12:00h-14:00h Practical session.

Session 4. In the evening of Thursday, the 26th of June, 2014

16:00h-18:00h Borja López Cotelo’s presentation. Ciudad y secuencia (II): La ciudad en el cine de Wim Wenders.

18:00h-20:00h Practical session.

Session 5. In the morning of Friday, the 27th of June, 2014

10:00h-12:00h Santiago de Molina’s presentation. Ciudad y collage.

12:00h-14:00h Practical session.

Session 6. In the evening of Friday, the 27th of June, 2014

16:00h-20:00h Puesta en común de los trabajos desarrollados durante el taller.
